So, HD_holidays has started posting over at Livejournal, and

OMG, I'm just giddy with excitement. It was SO good, too. Tons and Tons of snarky Draco, and playing with the kids, and just EVERYTHING I love in fics.

If you can even remotely tolerate H/D, go READ IT!!

All of the fic and art there has been stellar so far. The first one that posted was a comic, and then an amazing and incredible fic with mystery and romance, and everything we love about the Harry Potter books, only with Draco following Harry around as his protector the whole time (not a spoiler - it's the first thing that happens in the fic)

Also, if you haven't been over to my new Asylum, Smiths_Potters, you really should go there. It's a place to post art and fic that's inspired by the Allieverse - that is, my Snarry Games video and the Flist Gift video I made.

There's some REALLY amazing work going up over there. Art, ficlets, and I'm sure more to come! It's also where I'll be posting future fic and art from this 'verse.

So many awesome fests going on. Ireally need to get reading!! Snapely Holidays started posting, Snarry Hols is posting, Advent Drabbles is AMAZING so far, and... oh, Jeez, the list just goes on and on...

I'm bookmarking entire FESTS to save to read after the holiday, that's how busy they are now. *whew*

Okay, since in the past I have failed utterly at this, I am wiping my own slate blank and calling a redo. I want to write ficlets (zomg, I know) for the flist. I want to. I really really do. So, I've gotten out of the habit of reading much fic lately, and I've never been very good about doing recs of things I love, but there's no way I can let this fic go by without begging you all to read it.

It's The Fisher King (Percy/Moody, NC-17) which florahart was lucky enough to receive in the Yule Balls exchange. Please don't be put off by the pairing--both Percy and Moody are amazing, fully rounded characters here and yes, it's certainly strange thinking of Moody as someone who could be loved, but he is, and this mystery author does a phenomenal job of showing how it happens. I'm doing my best to be coherent and mature and non-flaily here because this story deserves so much better than flail, but I fear I'm failing at that attempt. But it's just heartwrenching. And it ties into canon which is just, oh, so amazing! Do give it a chance. I promise you'll be grateful!

Pristiq is a huge improvement over Cymbalta in the side effect department. Huge. Amazing. Phenomenal, even. I could run out of adjectives. And text effects.

In the negative column, it's doing far less for the fibro. In fact, as I'm not flaring and was already on the way out of my latest flare by the time we started the Cymbalta, I'm not sure it's doing anything at all, as I'm pretty much at my baseline achiness. I'm willing to bet that means my APRN will want to up the dose at my next visit, which may or may not put it back in the same side effect ballpark as Cymbalta.

Also, due to scheduling weirdness last week, I got to experience what missing a single dose is like, and holy shit do I never want to do that again. It was like having electric shocks running through me. Scary feeling. Gotta love messing with neurotransmitters. Ugh. Though if the trade off for having it actually handle the fibro is to bring the side effects back, I will insist on tapering off the stuff. I'd rather just go back to taking painkillers as needed, especially since I can still mostly get away with over the counter, and just take milk thistle (which I've started doing anyway) for my poor liver.

Ah well. Off to work with me.
